ZeroC, working with Chichester District Council are looking at a range of options for a small community room within Royal Sussex House. These options could include a community cafe, retail space or a community room or a combination of these. ZeroC will continue to explore the best solution with both CDC and the CCDT, and hope to create a community asset which will be valuable to all parties, especially the community in and around the development.
There will be a range of community facilities for residents at Roussillon Park, some available in the near future. There are also some facilities available at the nearby Graylingwell development, which can be used by Roussillon residents.
A new Multi-Purpose Community Hall will be built beside the Chapel before the completion of 50% of the dwellings at Graylingwell, estimated to be about 2015.
The Community Development Trust will consult with the community and other community groups to identify the most appropriate design, size, layout and contents the new facility to ensure that it is truly fit for purpose.
An initial brief has been prepared and an options appraisal for the Community Hall and Community space planned for the Chapel is now being undertaken.
