Bin Collection Days

Chichester District Council operate an alternate collection service, with waste removed one week, recycling the next. Each residence will have a general waste bin that is black and a recycling bin that is burgundy. The collection day is Wednesday, with alternate collection for waste and recycling each week.

You may also wish to apply for green waste collection, which is available for collection of garden cuttings for a small charge. Details on how to apply for this can be found on the Chichester District Council's Green bin composting service page.

Recycling Information

It is important for us all to recycle as much waste material as possible. You may use your burgundy recycling bin for the following items:

  • Paper
  • Card
  • Cans
  • Tins
  • Plastic Bottles
  • Clean Foil
  • Glass Bottles
  • Glass Jars
  • Aerosols
  • Tetra Packs – i.e. fruit cartons, milk cartons etc.

Note: All items placed in the burgundy bin must be loose, clean and dry.
